Spring Blooms!

Spring is here.....I think. It was 80 degrees on Thursday and then the last two days we barely hit 65. A little burrrrr. But things are turning a nice green! We live in the woods and once fall comes and the leaves all fall to the blessed ground where we get the pleasure of racking up mounds of leaves, including blisters and all, the neighborhood is revealed and we can see all the wonderful neighbors we have.

Yesterday I looked out the patio doors and said, "ooh, the neighbors are gone!" The trees have filled out and brought privacy to the north woods again:-)

I love the newness of the season. When the grass turns a rich green and the trees begin to fill in. It brings with it new life and a new sense of urgency for me too. Urgent for what... I'm not really sure. But God knows and I love anticipation. It means that nothing is stagnant but always changing, growing, becoming better. And that's what I want for me too. Thank you Lord

I am blessed. I am loved. I am desired. I am who God wants me to be. And nothing or no one can take that from me. Brenda found me and blessed me with her words of comfort. I think too, that this was no accident for her to find me and I know that God allows things to happen to grow us and protect us. I am looking forward to what He has in store for my future. Like the blooming buds of spring, so new, fragile, beautiful and weather many storms, I feel a little like them.

For I know the Plans...

I have for you declare the Lord,...

Wow, I can't believe how a few situations can change a person's whole perspective in life. I have really been struggling lately with wanting to stay in ministry. It is so hard. People are so hard to deal with. For a moment I would love to be able to show up for church, put my kids in the nursery and find a chair and just worship and listen to the message.

But for 6 years I have plan/lead worship, did nursery/children's church, ladies bible study, plan events, teach the jr. highers, secretary stuff, cleaning the church. And just being available to people like your someone "special". I am normal as they are and have needs too.

But this higher calling to be a minister doesn't allow me to have those needs with those people. I need a close "like minded" friend to share my woe be gones too. They are far and few between.

God has been teaching me that He is and should be my ultimate source for secure friendship. He will never leave me, treat me poorly, walk all over me and have other agenda's. He want to just be with ME! To lean on Him. To seek Him for wisdom and encouragement. (But sometimes it's just nice to have Jesus with flesh on around me.)

To think that Jesus walked a very lonely journey. He knows what I am going through. I have never felt more like a stanger in a stranger world, than of late. And that seems to be ok. It has surely plunged me back into His arms of love and safety. And I love Him dearly.

For now it is me and Him. The future......only he knows and I am trusting Him with that.

Glory Revealed!!

I love, I mean LOVE, this new CD, Glory Revealed as recommended by BooMama. I just got it in the mail Friday because of the backorder issue that I am sure is because she told us all to go over and buy it since it was at such a good price and all. Kuddo's to her for advertising so successfully!

Back to the CD. It is awesome. I feel like I could just step back out of the stressfull environment that I seem to be spending so much time in lately and just sink into the depth of worship that is being sung through scripture.

Worship is like food for my soul. I need it more than anything else. Except the Word of God. But it has that special place for me that no one else can really touch. It brings me to that intimate place with the Lord. Thank you Jesus.

Thank you Boomama for suggesting it. http://www.familychristian.com/shop/product.asp?prodID=18330

A Good Thing!

What a great thing that is going on over at everyday mommy! Click on over and see how you can enter too!

As you can see I very well do need a new "look" for my site. It might inspire me to write more often knowing it is layed out in a user friendly manner. I think the lack of know how is what keeps me from blogging more regularly.

GOD IS GOOD....ALL THE TIME

"Together in this place of worship you're glory we proclaim!"

My heart has been resounding with worship these past few days. I love it. It does such wonderful things for my attitude and spirit. It's food for my soul. I just recently ordered "Glory revealed" worship CD on recommendation from Boomama, but because of that I think, it has already been backordered:-(

My thoughts and prayers have been with Heather today. I can't wait to hear what the doctors say. I have prayed healing in Jesus name for her and I believe! She has been such a blessing to me in her words she writes and the music she posts.

On Friday we will be burying my sister in law. It is a heavy week for me and the family. Spring is in the air and yet we have a time to mourn, again. Oh how I wish all the answers were revealed so we can move in them instead of always trying to trust that God has our best interest at hand. The weather has been nice but friday is turning into a dreary rainy day. Perfect for the circumstances, harder on all of us. I pray that the weather man is wrong and it would turn out to be a sunny day. For all of us.

Well, enough of this depressing post. I am going to try and make a sincere effort to post more regulary and more entertainingly.

Until then

Too Long

It's hard to believe that it has been over a month since my last post. So much has taken place and I kinda lost focus for a while.

We went through a really hard time this last month. My brother lost his wife in a snowmobling accident and left behind 1 and 5 year old girls. It has been extremely difficult with many questions as to "Why God?" No one deserves to go through such horrific circumstances and yet I stand on the faith that God has an ultimate plan. He has too. There's no negotiating that. He knew this was to take place and He has a plan for what is next. The waiting is what is hardest.

Only time can heal and time seems to be going oh so slow. Things will never be the same, but can be altered to be good again. I pray daily for my brother to make the right decisions concerning job and his home. He currently is living with mom and dad. They have made the adjustment well from thinking retirement to raising two precious little girls.

Keep this all in your prayers, cause Jim does need to move back home sometime for the girls sake and mom and dad's. He needs the strength to make these decisions wisely and alone.
But oh, how I have come to love those little girls as my own. There my babies too, now.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, "declare the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

Amen

Thought Provoking

I absolutely love the new mom's of grace website! It is exciting to be able to meet and interact with other christian women! I've been spending quite a bit of time over there being encouraged and encouraging.

They have an online bible study going and I am looking forward to really being involved in it.
We are discussing "Grace" and the question was posed, "what is it to be a mom of grace". It truly is humbling to think that God has given me the greatest responsibility to raise my children to love and serve Him. To point them to the Savior.

I have been challenged this week by the public school system and I will not be defeated.
I have struggled for a while about homeschooling or public. My husband and I were both public schooled and turned out just fine. We're even in the ministry. We figure we are strong natured and so our kids will be too.

But as mom, it is and has been my responsibility to nurture, train, .... love my kids. Sending my 4 yr old to 4k was hard but I knew he needed to learn the structure environment of schooling and I did not have the patients to mold him into that. I wanted to be a happy mama, not the crazy crabby mama from long days of disciplining for school. But that's another post another time.

Anyway back to the challenge. They want to teach my child about "touching" and "good and bad feelings" and on down the road. You get the picture. We went to the parent meeting and they assure us it's age appropriate. And yet, I am very sickened and uneasy. It is my responsiblity to teach him morals and circumstances.... and to know when he is old enough to handle this kind of information. So we are having a planned vacation the week of this "teaching". He will love to be absent and we are looking forward to going to Lousiana with daddy for the week.

But all this to say, that again I was reminded of the incredible responsibility God has given me in raising my children and I am very inadequate without His grace and knowledge.
Thank you Lord for giving me discernment and wisdom! Amen.
